- Treat patients as referred by the physician, following established care plans.
- Record patient progress in charts and report orally to the physical therapist.
- Assist the physical therapist as needed during treatments.
- Report any changes in patient condition or progress to the physical therapist.
- Participate in providing learning experiences for physical therapist assistant students.
- Comply with safety, infection control, and universal precautions policies.
- Coordinate physical therapy objectives with nursing services when necessary.
- Maintain proficiency in clerical duties.
- Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Texas
- One- or two-years’ experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
